USO CSO Supports Medical Teams at WPAFB
The Wright-Patterson Air Force Base USO Center completed its first “Corona Care” operation by assembling and distributing 200 USO-labeled snack bags to the WPAFB hospital teams who have been working overtime the past two weeks.
Each snack bag had a “Thanks for keeping us healthy” message and included a flavored sparkling water, as well as sweet, salty and healthy snacks.
Center Manager Erik Oberg, Assistant Manager Gina Franz and a volunteer visited the stations outside the hospital where incoming patients are screened and drive-through testing for COVID-19 is provided.
They also made stops at Public Health, the ER, the laboratory and the pharmacy. The service members were grateful for the morale boost and the feedback from commanders was very positive.
